1:1 GUIDANCE

I have loved every minute of my journey into photography. I've been an artists as long as I can remember and when I realized that photography was an art form and that I could use it as a means to express my creativity, I was hooked. It took me years to learn things like composition, post processing, high-key, low-key, backlight, etc. I love being able to share the things I have learned with others and so I offer several ways that I can pass on that knowledge to other photographers that are interested in learning along with me.

Lightroom Classic
& Photoshop Tutoring

Post processing is so important in photography. Honestly, it can make or break an image. What it can't do is polish a turd into gold. You have to have potential in an image to start with, then you can use the tools in Lightroom and Photoshop to bring out the magic that is already in the photo, it just needs to be brought out. I can help you take your photos from good to GREAT! The best way to do this one-to-one tutoring is via Zoom. If this sounds like the help you're looking for, let's get a Zoom call scheduled today!

Mentorship

Photography is so much more than just pulling up your camera, pointing it at something, and hitting the shutter. One has to think about composition, background, the overall scene, lighting, angle, and so much more. Then once you get the shot, there's the post processing. I always tell people that half of photography is being at the right place, at the right time, either by dumb luck, persistence, or by careful planning. The other half is careful and deliberate post processing.

My goals for mentorship is not to make you into a copy of me, but rather to hep you bring out your own vision and style through constructive feedback, suggestions, assignments, and more. "Jamin provided me with the experience of a lifetime on a recent trip to Alaska. He worked with me in advance, choosing the perfect location with the knowledge of what I was I looking for in my photography. We spent a beautiful morning on a lake with a pair of Pacific Loons that only a local would know about. He had a perfect understanding of what would make an ideal photography location, and I can honestly say that I would never have found something like this without his expertise. Highly recommended!"
